Membership in the IAAH is open to National Alliances Against Hunger and international organizations representing both government and civil society, providing that they represent or are otherwise committed to relieving the plight of the poor and hungry. All members have an equal status in the IAAH and can participate in its leadership, direction and activities. They recognize the value of diversity and pluralism in their approaches to achieving the common goal of hunger reduction, yet are united in their commitment to the basic principles and aims of the IAAH, which they express in the form of Ending Hunger Pledges that embody concrete, time-bound commitments to undertake specific actions for which they hold themselves accountable.
